Quick Tips To Find Out Whether Your Mobile Phone Is SAR Safe
SAR or specific absorption rate refers to
the amount of radio magnetic frequency absorbed by your body from your mobile
phone. There is enough evidence to safely conclude that there are possible
dangers in the excessive use of cell phones and mobile phones could cause certain
types of cancer due to SAR radiation. Here are some tips to find out whether
your mobile phone is SAR Safe.
- Does your phone come with SAR Tick? Read around to learn what SAR Tick is and it is time to educate yourself: http://www.sartick.com
- Check the SAR value in the mobile phone websites for example you can run a search for your Samsung phones at: http://www.samsung.com/sar/sarMain.do
- Take time to read the small booklet that comes with your mobile phone which we often toss it off and look for the section of the “Certification Information”.
- As per FCC guidelines the safe SAR level is 1.6 W/kg (over 1 g).
- As per International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) up to 2.0 W/kg (over 10 g) is safe. Ideally the lower the SAR level the better it is for you.
The next time you are purchasing your mobile phone check the SAR level
along with the other mobile phone features and make it part of your short
listing criteria.
